Right now, its common knowledge among NFT enthusiasts that the main issues regarding the social aspect of NFTs are:
- Discoverability of new projects
- Information about collections being scattered between multiple platforms
- Scammers and bots that are constantly trying to trick people and steal their money
Watchen.xyz will be a network and directory of Non-Fungible Tokens that solves the above problems.
NFT creators will list their collections for free and have something between a Product Hunt page and a LinkedIn profile. They will list all the necessary info like their website, Social Media, showcase their artwork, and even any media coverage the project got. On the other hand, collectors will be able to like a collection and send comments. In that way, both parties can engage in meaningful conversations.
On Watchen’s home page, collectors and creators will see the newest projects and the hottest ones. Which project is shown in the trending tab will depend on user engagement.
We want to build a place where people find NFTs they like. Not just to flip them but to understand them, engage with them, and be part of the community. So we have a huge list of features that we want to implement — everything depends on the user’s feedback and, of course, whether people are using Watchen.
Unfortunately, scammers are a big problem in the NFT space and in everything that has to do with money. We cannot guarantee that they won’t be any rug pulls listed, but we are doing everything we can to eliminate the possibility of bots in comment sections and fake likes.
